The apartment is on the first floor of a traditional Edinburgh villa built in 1820 with views over Edinburgh Botanic Gardens. It has a private walled garden with a lawn for sitting or playing games and a balcony. Buses to the city centre stop just across the road and it takes 10 minutes by bus or 30 minutes to walk to the centre.
Edinburgh is a lively cosmopolitan city with a lovely old town, castle and its own small mountain in the city itself. In August there is an international festival with shows, concerts and theatre as well as lots of street entertainment. There are many restaurants, cafes and bars and several theatres, concert halls and museums and galleries. Within half an hour's drive are both lovely sandy beaches and quiet unspoilt mountains and lochs.
